1966: First Partial Victory
Results began to substantiate Braun's secret strategy. In 1966, spurred by Rasmussen and his associates, the Danish Parliament legalizes explicit sex writings but delays legalization of pornographic images because--as everyone knows--a picture is worth a thousand words. In this first battle, Rasmussen and LB scored only a partial victory, since the right-wing opposition was afraid that explicit sex images would shock the vast public. More time to get used to the idea of sexual freedom was needed before further changing the laws.
In order to offer additional ammunition for Rasmussen to finalize his fight for full legalization before the end of the decade, Braun proceeds with his strategy to produce and inundate the market with new illegal pornography. The scope is to force lawmakers into either further repressing something insuppressible as sex--and be called fascists--or legalize all matters of sexuality very quickly.
